US Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard stations will participate in the annual Armed Forces Day Crossband Communications Test on Saturday, May 13. This annual HF communication interoperability event, sponsored by the Department of Defense since 1934, challenges Amateur Radio operators to contact military stations across the US.

Wilford Gas Antenna Tower
A special thank you to Doug Wilford from Wilford Gas for the donation of a 100-foot antenna tower to ClayARES. Today we met at the tower site and dismantled the tower. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped!

Please do not add them to the three criteria on the web site hours form. Separate the emergency and non-emergency hours and show each on the Comments section of the form. North Florida ARES wants us to report these hours separately from now on.

March Clay County ARES Meeting
This month’s Clay County ARES meeting will be in the Clay County Emergency Operations Center at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs. Take Hwy 17 south to Green Cove and turn right on Ferris (Hwy 16) and head toward Penny Farms. Turn left at the Fairgrounds main entrance. The EOC will be the last building on your right.
