Activation Level 2 – Tropical Storm Hermine

The Net Condition continues at Level 2 Partial Activation, we are in Directed Net Status on 146.925..

As of 0800 AUG 31, 2016 ClayARES is operating under Emergency Operations Protocol Level 3 – Monitoring Activation. All ClayARES members are requested to tune to the primary repeater frequency and check in with net control.  All non-ClayARES stations are invited to monitor and await opportunities to check in and provide assistance.

Further escalation of communication and radio activities may be necessary at the request of emergency and disaster response organizations throughout Clay county and northeast Florida. This activation is in response to any and all impact from Tropical Depression Nine.

KB4SA Operating from Orange Park Fall Festival for JOTA/JOTI

KB4SA is excited to be operating from this year’s Fall Festival at Orange Park Town Hall Park. Radio and internet operations will begin at 10:00AM and continue through 5:00PM, Saturday, October 15.

Units are asked to contact w1wcn@comcast.net for specific scheduling information. We will accommodate walk-ups, but having advance notice helps us assure that all scouts have opportunity to get on the air.

2105EDT AUG 24 – The ClayARES Net has been set to Net Condition Level 3. This is in response to a Search and Rescue situation in Jennings State Forest. Stations with deployment availability for 25 AUG are asked to notify W1WCN via email at w1wcn@comcast.net
